Gelevod is a land where pollution won, and humanity succumbed. Rising ocean levels put many cities under water, and the pollution changed the sea life drastically.
Predators became faster, their jaws stronger, and many times more deadly. Prey in turn became more defensive, more toxic, and better equipped to survive against their new adversaries. Some evolved further, due to the decreased oxygen levels in the water, and switched to iron and magnesium as their energy source to fix carbon. And the people changed too, changing to meet the new environment.
And here are pictures of some above ground elements. As cities have sunk, architecture adapted to be able to go underwater and be above at the same time. Vehicles changed too, as people now needed them to be amphibious to travel the sunken world properly.
Here are some of the creatures you might find in Gelevod's waters. Their increasing viciousness makes it difficult for people to survive in the same waters without some serious gear.
